    Default 9th Birthday for SABASS

9 Years for SA Bass magazine!!!!
Hard to believe that it has been 9 years...in fact it actually feels like more.
Thumbs up and big salute for Hannes Lindeque and his people making it the only magazine to last the test of time. I think there was a bassing SA magazine out for a while in the early days and as you all know BASS Africa came and is now gone. So as a dedicated BASS magazine for SOUTH AFRICANS and other neighborly countries I congratulate them on their effort. Good work keep it up.... we will support you! I actually cannot wait for the next issue as one of bassings members has a very good article in this moths issue......so good in fact that the Editor Mr. Eugene Kruger said "but this issue does contain an article that deserves some emphasis, namely John Easton's insightful piece concerning the sophisticated use of on-board electronics for a fishing technique he terms "contouring" " and so it goes on.
Well I think we all know John very well and I can say this. With that quality of article the bar has just been raised for fellow Field editors to come to the party! Since SA BASS is the only local magazine left I feel they can raise the bar with better and more articles. Bring it on people!!!! Bassers are hungry for info!!!

Please correct me if I am wrong but SABASS SA BAARS was also the only magazine for bassers that came out bilingual. Yes and right from the start. Not taking Stywe Lyne into account as they are not dedicated towards bass but to the whole spectrum of fishing.

The other thing as well when talking about the guys from SA BASS is also how nice the guys are in person. When they visited our lodge in October last year it was an absolute pleasure to not only meet them but also fish with them. Everyone of the guys who came here were complete gentlemen.

Eugene, Duncan, Hannes and Martin, it was lovely to meet you. You produce a magazine that i enjoy (being new to bassing 2 years ago) because it gives the information without trying to dazzle you. It has good articles, new tackle reviews and venues to try.

I am sad, but i cant wait every month to find the new magazine in my post box.

Good luck and keep up the good work.
The fishing was good it was the catching that was bad - A.K.Best

Thanks for the kind words there Martin. You can always rely on this publication month after month. We so often get frustrated because of repeated topics, but we must not forget that every weekend there is a brand new bass angler somewhere in SA. And this is all new to him / her.

Congrats guys. Since I started Bass fishing a couple of years ago SA Bass has been the mag to teach. This has not changed and with every issue I still learn something. Good luck guys and keep'em coming.
