Default KBBC 2010 Series Leg 2 - venue change.

We are very sorry to have to announce that we are unable to use Germiston Lake for Leg 2 of the 2010 Series, this is due to issues at Victoria Lake Club which are beyond the control of the KBBC. But don't worry, we'll still be having a competition on this date but we're just not sure where yet. We do have a venue in mind which we'll be going to check out in the next couple of weeks. Keep checking our website for updates. http://www.kickboatclassic.co.cc

If you know of any venues which we could use please PM myself or Basslover the GPS coordinates so that we can first check the size and location on Google Earth before going to see it.

That is sad news Wilmy! Good luck with the new venue.

Hallo guys, quickly logged in with my phone...And just wanted to add the newest news...

Paul ( Madporra ) is trying really hard to get this day open for us to still compete at germiston lake, we will however just launch at simmers now, if this realises...
However, Shawn and myself will be venue hunting on the 15th, one of our members have contacted me and told me about a pvt. dam on someones farm with a good stock of bass that the farmer will open for us for this day, i will need to go and look at the size of this dam first before we finalize anything...

Ok guys the proposal has been sent to ekurhuleni, thanks to Paul and Garry, hopefully we will get a go ahead...
I am still going to go and have a look at the new venue, hopefully we will be able to use it in the near future, or if germiston does not work out in June.

What about bronkies ? you can allocate a stretch of jetties which should accommodate 50 tubers.

Safety will be the first thing that might be a concern, I fished there on easter weekend with 100+ crafts on the water. If you hold 10-20m to the side which is a lot of space there will be no problem. Marshaling should be easier than boskop, cause it will be in a straight line an no crossing a big body of water. If distance is an issue ... Boskop is about the same distance for pretoria tuber than bronkies will be for j-burg tubers, unless i am totally wrong (i never measured the exact distance). There are many quality bass in bronkies.

That is my 2c worth or by the looks of it R10 worth
