    Default Bait Fish

A list of some of the fish that our Green friends snack on.

    Short/longfin Eel
    Bluegill Sunfish
    Moggel
    Tench
large mouth, small mouth and spotted bass
    Canary Kurper
    Banded Talapia
    Redbreast Talapia
    Moz Talapia (Blue kurper)
    Black kurper

The most under rated I think, especially for Witbank is the Moggel, there are huge populations of this fish and they are soft and easy to eat making them a prize snack for small and very large bass.

The main reason I put a black spot at the back of my'see thru' cranks is to resemble the moggel as it is the main feed fish for bass in certain dams, especially Witbank.

I think they are the main bait fish for the vaal as well ;-) although after doing a bit of research apprently the fish at the vaal are full of parasites.
