    Default Deep South Rods

I am fortunate enough to be amongst the first in South Africa to own Deep South rods as to be stocked by the Bassing.co.za shop. I have the 7'4" deep cranking rod (Mag/med line wt 10-20lb) and the 7' Lake Seminole Special rod (Med/hvy line wt 12-17lb). I cannot wait to try these out as they are light and feel ultra sensitive. Each rod has a serial number and they come with a warrantee.

They don't have IM ratings but they use 30 ton Japanese graphite which is apparently the better stuff (you get a lower quality Chinese praghite as well)

The Seminole Rod is by far one of my favorite rods. We are actually dropping the name from that rod and basically calling it a worm/jig rod. It is a multi-purpose rod with lot's of fishing turning power.

Eek 30-ton?! How do us newbies know what the difference is between "tons of graphite" etc.? I have heard of IM6 and IM7, IM10 etc.

Maporra, the easiest way for me to explain the tonage issue is that it is more dense than lower tonage blanks. I stay away from modulus rating as I think they are confusing.
