    Talking KBBC - 12 September 2009 @ EBA

Hi guys, how are we going to have the fishing marshaled for the comp on Saturday. the dam is relatively big for only 3 marshals? Hugo maybe you could give us answers regarding this. Wildmike

    Howzit wildmike,
The last comp was at Homestead which is a fair bit bigger than EBA, with one lonesome fish coming out.
I think 3 marshalls "should" be ok for EBA .... my thoughts only.

From what I predict though, they are going to get tired of weighing my lunkers, so perhaps they should just tie to my inflatable lol ....

You know MP that was my thoughts exactly. I just wanted to make sure that they appoint a marshal to remain in my area as I don't have a float tube and really would like one. (1st prize). No but really I think the guys are going to be soooo busy on that dam. We'll just have to fish close enough together that they don't have to travel to far. heheheh. catch you later. WM

Howsit Mike, well we managed with three marshals at Murry park and at Homestead, so yeah im sure it wont be a problem, i think we will put a marshal in the main dam and one in the other, with the third one at where the most anglers are.
So im sure we will be fine, we are also on inflatables with trolling motors, to get to you guys a lot faster.

It not just marshalls that can weigh fish, anglers can weigh fish too...

    From the rules...

    12. No fish may be weighed by the angler who caught it. A fish may be weighed by another competitor or a marshal only using scales calibrated and approved by the organisers and marshals at registration previous to the competition start. If a fish is found to be weighed on a non-calibrated scale it will not be counted towards the anglers score.

    13. No more than one fish may be weighed by an angler for the same angler. A score card will be given to each participating angler and the weight of each fish, the time it was caught and who it was weighed by must be entered on the score card, the score card will then be signed by both the angler who caught it and the person who weighed it.

Full rules can be found here -> Kickboat Bass Challenge Bass Fishing Competitions

Sounds good, Just a question on another subject. is there any objection to having 2 guys fish from 1 boat and are fly rods permitted? WM

That's perfectly fine wildmike, we have had a few inflatables with anglers pairing up. Fly rods are fine as is any other method.
